The Shroud of Turin Exhibition

For 5 days in October The Shroud of Turin Exhibition, which features life size images of the Shroud, comes to Stoke-on-Trent for the first time.

This is a fantastic opportunity to see and to learn more about this amazing relic through displays, lectures, and documentaries.

We are privileged to have The Shroud of Turin Exhibition at St Francis Church, Meir Heath from 3rd to 8th October 2015.

The original Shroud went on show for the first time in five years this year in Turin, but everyone is welcome to visit St Francis Church, to see the exhibition and learn about this image of Christ.

The extensive exhibition will take up the full length of the North and South Aisles of the church. It is yet another way of sharing history and heritage as part of our year long celebrations of St Francis Church at the heart of the local community.

The exhibition is free and will be open to visitors from 9.00am to 6.00pm each day.

Additional supporting events are:

  • Monday 5th October at 7.00pm a documentary film “The Silent Witness” narrated by Kenneth More, followed by discussion.

  • Tuesday 6th Oct. at 7.00pm a Lecture on the History and significance of the Shroud.

  • Wednesday 7th Oct. a documentary film will be shown at 7.30pm “Shroud”.

Thursday 8th Oct. at 7.30pm Mass of the Holy Face of Jesus, followed by a Devotional talk.
